People who live in countries where DNS and IP blocks are common probably use a different server. I’ve been running my own for over a year and it works like a dream
At that point why not use a different app that supports E2EE natively?

I’ve been using Hetzner at work now for more than ten years and for my personal stuff for more than five. I haven’t tried many others but I haven’t had a reason to do so
I just set up my icy box drive bay with software raid. Works great, just remember in some cases you have to disable UAS for the enclosure
