It would be safer if we discussed.this using encryption:

    1jdBaPK9ULsvBDnzbtGgE9ksCtpfJJFq/rB346x5jehKHY5tfrzdvycYhbLEmABF1jdBaPK9ULsvBDnzbtGgE9ksCtpfJJFq/rB346x5jehKHY5tfrzdvycYhbLEmABF1jdBaPK9ULsvBDnzbtGgE9ksCtpfJJFq/rB346x5jehKHY5tfrzdvycYhbLEmABF

    OK?

    Instead of: “Android.”

Say: "An open source Android (AOSP)-based operating system such as LineageOS for microG or other similar FOSS projects that fully circumvent Google Play Services."

You know, like a normal person.

but if enough people use google as a general verb, the word will stop being owned by alphabet (from my understanding)

Would be better if this had serious suggestions. But to add a serious one, please say something like “content blocker” instead of “adblocker”; you’re not freeloading by blocking ads, you’re choosing to not connect to unwanted privacy-hostile content with your computer and internet connection, as you should.

Picking another corporation to base your language around isn’t better. Why not refer to the general privacy concepts that corporation claims to have?

as som have mentioned. I call email, email. And I call video conferencing video conferencing and would say hop on a conference call or just call. I mean many people dial in. Video is just standard now but they used to be done with just phones. I usually say the message app used as at a workplace its whatever they use. Open some windows is talking about gui windows not ms windows. I don’t get the alternative thing at all. Its like that thing with ms not being able to trademark windows because windows is a common word. you say windows don’t let ms own that trump. I do say google sometimes for search and that is bad but I often say search or look it up. I just need to stop saying google sometimes.

I’m pretty sure that in this specific context, it’s actually referring to the physical windows that you would crack to let in some fresh air. I’m also pretty sure that this post was a joke, LOL.

I just say “I did a search” instead of “I googled it” nowadays, mostly because I don’t like lying.

Tuta is much better than proton, but I’m finding Germany to be more than a bit sus lately, too.

I need to find a provider in Iceland or something, where there’s still a bit of respect for actual people.

    hehe, yikes

between Proton moving operations and its CEO being a MAGA (or at least a Trump sycophant), the advice to adopt Proton has really curdled recently

Yes, all his musings about Trump cracking down on Google aged like fine milk. Everyone who paid attention knew this though. He should keep his mouth shut about politics and do his company a favor
