I’ve got a random username if the stupid website/app allows it. Most don’t. It has to be your email address.
And a minimum random 20 char password for each website/app. Again if the stupid website/app allows it.
Secure your (I don’t mean you personally) fucking website/app and credentials storage and stop making your weaknesses my problem.
Most places, and all of my stupid financial websites/apps, only have phone/SMS as the second factor. And yet there are plenty of horror stories about people ‘losing’ their phone numbers.
Oh wait. There is one financial site that has developed its own authenticator app. I really expect that to go about as well as storing passwords in cleartext.
Then there’s all the shit websites/apps that I don’t give a fuck about that now insist on having 2FA set up. They’re not interested in the security, it’s just to get your email and phone number to onsell your data to whoever.
It’s fucking security theater.
2FA really stands for
2 FUCKING ANNOYING !!!
All I need is mozilla on android to be able to load local html files.
It’s the only reason I left.
It’s the only reason I will return.
I’ve been trying Organic Maps with Android Auto, and am struggling with it.
Search is hit and miss, which I can deal with, but its GPS tracking is wacky. It has Location and Precise Location permissions, but for some reason it’s not as accurate as Google Maps or Sygic - its movement tracking is jerky, it will randomly put me off the road or on another road. And when stopped, it will sometimes point me in the opposite direction or even spin me around a couple of times lol.
It makes it hard to trust ☹️
Does it support an external Bluetooth HR monitor?
Apparently, an app does that
Wormsign!
Yep, tor me it’s because it requires a Pixel. And specifically poor Pixel battery life.
I value battery life, and every Pixel I check out on gsmarena has an endurance rating < 90h.
For comparison, my current phone’s endurance rating is 113h, and this is why I ended up shopping by chipset. Everything not Snapdragon had poor battery life. (Disclaimer: haven’t looked for a couple of years)
Shelter is an android app that helps making sandboxed apps
Every time.
Because this old man hasn’t learnt the lesson…
Yep, even says in the article ‘destroy or de-identify’. So, they will summarize or transform/anonymize the data and just throw away the source.
Yeah, I checked installed apps (checked system apps), and I don’t have it installed on either of my devices
I’m in Australia, and when I search for Device Lock Controller in Play Store, it says “This app is not available in your region”
This happens on 2 separate devices from different manufacturers. Both devices were purchased in Australia and have Australian ROMs
Bro, never cut off a chimp on the highway …
Well, it’s because after using the system for only a few minutes, I realise it’s not quite right, and I’ll have to spend a few weeks to set it up again!
What one works for you?
