I’m not a fan of all the permissions it needs, I know they’re reasonably used for features but it basically requests all the permissions.
I’d love to see it being based on modules, install more functions as apps. Much easier to tweak permissions.

Everybody knows Facebook surveils, but seeing actual numbers is still newsworthy. Particularly when they’re catastrophically high.
Domains can be free and several of them works flawlessly with DDNS for home hosting. You can set up a completely free Nextcloud. Self-signed certs and direct IP access works as well.
Somebody else mentioned setting up a VPN to your home LAN, that works fine too.

Looks interesting, gonna check it out. Thanks for the tip. I wonder why the all is only on Google play thought.
I’ve tried everything from using the official service to self-host gpodder server, using the NC “app” you mentioned, a ton of different client on both mobile and desktop.
Never managed to sync anything besides the subscriptions. I just given up and use AntennaPod on Android for now, no sync only occasional backup.
I’m looking at other sync solutions like downloading and converting directly on my NC server and share the folder to my user, but that’s equally useless only in different ways. 🫠
Haha they don’t even have to try because normies doesn’t even care.
