I tried both MQTT and just the plain HTTP variant, and I couldn’t get either to work. I’ve fully settled on the latter you mentioned, Traccar. it’s pretty much what I’ve wanted: self-hosted, easy to set up, beautiful web interface. Thanks for the suggestions!

for two reasons, I can’t use this.

1. Android. Me, my family. Our past phones were, our current phones are, and future phones will be Android phones.
2. I’m looking for whatever it may be to be OSS and self-hostable (if the community name didn’t give that implication away)

OwnTracks setup was a bit confusing to me and I never got it working. traccar looks pretty nice though, I’ll check it out!

I use 2FAuth. it’s web based but that has the plus of working anywhere, even on desktop

usually in your router settings you can change local DNS settings. you can set your domains and subdomains to point to your server’s local IP.

Symfonium. Don’t get me wrong, I like Finamp, but it just does not come close to the amount of features that Symfonium has.

I’ve set up Vaultwarden as I used Bitwarden before that and it made switching very easy. Doesn’t get easier than that, synced passwords across all your devices/browsers.

somewhat related, is there any way at all to enable high refresh rates while using resistFingerprinting, or something I could use instead of it? this is the only thing keeping me away from resistFingerprinting on Mull and Librewolf.

Aliucord is a good client mod, not of the new react native version, but the old 126.21 version. much faster than the laggy react garbage

although definitely not as configurable, I like the “set it and forget it” idea of DockoVPN

I think the only way to get an open-source Discord is to recreate discord (their backend).

Nearly all of them. Nextcloud, Jellyfin, Vaultwarden, Spacebar, and 2fAuth, all set behind an NGINX Reverse Proxy, SWAG. SWAG made it very easy to set up https and now I can throw anything behind a subfolder or subdomain.

I don’t know about the full functionality of the game bar, but I know ReplaySorcery does a good job with instant replays in games for me.
