I stopped using the task management features of Org mode and I wanted to use Apache mod_markdown to view my notes when on a mobile device. I like how simple markdown is. It’s all I need for notes. Denote is great for keeping organized.
After many years of Org-mode, I’ve settled on Emacs Denote with a git repo of markdown files, paired with a paper bullet journal.
I use Calibre and its web server locally. Works great.
Street address data isn’t available for the US. I find the POI in Google Maps in Firefox and then go to Share and open the coordinates in Organic Maps or OsmAnd.
Been using Gnucash for about 10 years for personal finance and 2 small businesses. Highly recommended!
I noticed that some of these are apps and some are protocols. It makes sense to list the app if the protocol is proprietary, but it’s confusing that there can be multiple apps for an open protocol and not all of those apps could feature the same level of privacy.
