Then I have some prime real estate in Florida to sell ya.
Edit - Okay jokes aside I actually can’t tell if you were joking so I had some fun.

That’s a fair point, I don’t want my info given to every private company out there. However the idea of the biometrics (if you take it at face value [no pun intended]) is that the biometrics are stored on the chip in your device. Then the password or authorization is then granted based on approval from that.
It’s not like you can grab another phone and try to log into said service with your biometrics.
Not sure about Android but IOS you can actually use FaceID for all the things you want like password managers, log into PayPal, and other biometric features but have it disabled to unlock the phone. It’s what I do, you don’t need to spam anything. Just use a pin to unlock.
Ahh. Misunderstood.
Phpmyadmin.
You can also deploy it easily with docker to get it running quick.
Yeah. Take a good look at plex as the server and Plexamp as the client. You can filter the music in an almost infinite way. Even by mood. Not saying it’s perfect but it’s the best self hosted way I have found.
Don’t know but guessing, they are using open street maps so they can’t charge for it. Not sure as I have not looked into the licensing of it but assuming something like that.
I don’t see a single thing that’s claims they are Open Sourced. Not sure how you or OP are coming to that conclusion.
They use open street maps and crowd source the traffic pattern just like the rest of the map apps.
Putting those together doesn’t mean they claimed to be open sourced.
Kodi has the IR stuff built in from what I remember. At least on windows it did years ago. You just need a “media remote” at one point called windows media remote. It’s a usb or receiver with a regular IR remote.
After a quick google here is a list I found.
