I don’t know if this would fit your needs but I just have a wireguard server and when I travel I just connect to my VPN from my phone and start my access point …then all the other devices will be connected to my VPN through the phone access point (there is an option to let clients use VPN in access point settings) and watch jellyfin. For me this is the simplest and cheapest option I found.

Wait, you mean you need an app to listen to music in a Bluetooth earphone? It’s not just connect it to your phone via Bluetooth? I don’t usually use phones but I have some Chinese cheap phone I use sometimes that I just connect to my phone and that’s it.

1·2 years agoYeah I’ve switched 3 times already but every once in a while the app crashes or fails the integrity test and I note in the worse possible time…when I need to pay for something. Looks like the best alternative is to have a cheap android phone just to do banking.

2·2 years agoI’ve tried and could not use none of them without the website requesting the app to login or to verify the transactions

1·2 years agoYeah I did that because of the banking apps issues so I’ve installed magisk. Looks like I made a mistake.

1·2 years agoAll the banks I have an account need an app in order to login. I’ve tried to use them using the browser but they all request you to use their app as 2fa. So the app doesn’t work and I just can’t do shit using only my browser.

1·2 years agoAll banks I have an account need an app in order to login. I’ve tried several times to use the browser but I always get to use their app as 2fa. None of the 4 banks I have an account let you use the browser without installing and verifying your phone via official app. It’s ridiculous and annoying. As of calendar I just use the AOSP calendar app but sometimes I need to share my work schedule with my wife and that would be great to just share a calendar without sending her the screenshot of the days I have work. Besides that I just could use paper with no problems at all.

1·2 years agoI’m planning to buy a new phone in the next year or so and looks like pixel is a great option because of graphene. I wish it ran on my poco x3.

2·2 years agoYeah I intend to buy a cheap android phone just to do banking …I guess that’s the easiest way to deal with this
Yeah but once you do that and unlock the bootloader, installing lineage was too easy. Last time I tried that (it was called cyanogenmod yet) I spent a hole weekend trying to recover my nexus 4
I was astonished that I installed lineage with microg on my xiaomi last year and without bricking it not even once.
I’ve installed smarttube this week on my tv but I’m having issues with videos not loading or with 403 error …almost all videos return this error…any ideas about what may be the reason?

32·2 years agoYeah, if they used monero instead of lightning would be a better option for the user. Not a lightning fan. Layer 2 solutions seems a waste of time and money for me, lightning included…but well, that’s the result of the blocksize war.

If all the devices are in the same network you should be able to stream content even without internet. I had to wait for 5 days to my ISP set up my internet on my new address and I watched my jellyfin library in the meantime with no problems.
