Nerd, truck driver, and kinda creeped that you’re reading this.

I would just do a minimal reinstall if you had used this as a personal computer OS before
And also take the battery out
It’s pretty much not reversible and the code is free to use, modify, and distribute forever. And if you do modify it you also must make those changes open source.
Very good news
Acceptable but only if vague memories and impressions occasionally surface and lead to some plotline where you eventually rediscover yourself
Though that would work much better if you shared with the DM I suppose
I’ve never been in tech professionally, I’m a truck driver (now working in the office of company but still drive sometimes) but I have always been into tech. I selfhost as much as possible. Bitwarden, jellyfin, seafile, etc. and also run a Lemmy instance. I like tech projects and control.
Seriously, ever heard of Intel AMT? It gives administrators such deep access to the computer that they can view and control your screen (regardless of OS you’re using), power the device on remotely, etc.
Problem is the FDroid version doesn’t work with Android Auto iirc
Even if my Internet provider forced me to use their router I’d plug my own router in behind that one fuck that.
I mean you can rebrand an app, just not the package name. And users won’t see that. So they could rename it Thunderbird even though the package name would stay “com.fsck.k9”. It’s not at all uncommon.
Though I’m sure they have their reasons for not doing that.
I wonder when they’ll rebrand K9 to Thunderbird for Android
The network is blocking your domain but your browser won’t show the block page because the certificate is incorrect.
I’ve had my domain blocked by a few corporate networks for being “potential spam” or some such nonsense.
Figured it had to be something like that seeing as changing your password doesn’t involve a long reencryption process
So it seems most of this revolves around brute forcing. So using a properly long and secure password should make it nearly impossible for them right?
I feel like with the advent of nearly ubiquitous unlimited mobile data plans (in some parts of the world) a lot less people use public WiFi. However on a plane you have little choice, so it makes sense.
Why did they decide to lump in Australia/NZ with Latin America?
I like them separate, call me weird. I already run Vaultwarden
I really like Immich and it works great for me. But I will be setting up Ente authenticator self hosted at some point
I can’t tell you how long I’ve wanted to have a self hostable authy alternative with mobile and desktop apps plus a web portal.
Sure it could, but I think Apple makes so much on overcharging for the machine itself they don’t need to be so aggressive over data collection just logically.
Apple doesn’t require you to make an Apple ID to use a Mac lol
Agh Plex always rubs me the wrong way… It acts like closed source software as much as is possible. Went with Jellyfin and it’s been great. But haven’t tried music.
