Yea I’ve been getting nuked for my shit opinions instead of discussions. I accidentally posted in Hexbear this weekend…that was an experience.

Beautiful lmao
Absolutely! But I use markdown / Obsidian for my SOPs so images are kinda obnoxious to format. But yes!
Yes. Here: "1.You aren’t writing an SOP for smart or even capable people., every. Single. Person. Needs their hand held all the way through every step regardless of technical skill. "
“2.if you didnt state it needed to be done in the SOP, it will not be done when the end user follows the SOP”
“3.MAKE someone else run through your SOP without you being involved. If they can successfully achieve what they needed using your SOP > congrats. If not > fix the errors that brought you to this mess.”
“4. Everyone is fucking stupid, be clear, and verbose.” We’re talking about where the start menu is, clicking on the “OK” for prompts, how to spell and type things out.
Change my given values per SOP and what it’s for. But those are my main tenants.
Yea corporations have feelings and are sentient creatures too! These fucking people above you don’t understand how insensitive it is to not correctly call a company by its proper identity. If Twitter wants to identify as X it can do so.
Just as Windows can Identify as Windows 11 but it’s really just NT underneath. Or kinda how Prince purposely changed his name to fuck over record labels. He identified as someone else but was really the same character and song writer. Kinda like how GMC is Chevy is Cadillac is Pontiac is geo and Buick. Or radio shack renaming themselves “the shack”. Or how Nissan was Datsun. Or Pizza Hut with their “the hut” Name change, still sold the same pizza.
I started this as me attempting to be contrarian towards you…but I kinda came full circle on this one for myself lmao. Swing so hard left I came back around to the right. (My point, not my entire political opinions)
I just switched all my systems over to mint. I used to think Linux was the “just at work” environment. But now I’m flipping it. I’m sick of Windows, I know it’s less hassle but my digital well-being needs a break from ads.
Yep. The other day it rewrote a registry key that prevented these pop ups. I’m out. Debating which Debian distro to go to now.
