  • Or, you know, they value human life enough to actually get emotional instead of being clinical as hell.

I’m sorry but if I work somewhere and find out that a coworker nearly killed me after being politely told not to a half dozen times, I’m going to be furious. I’m going to become murderous if I then find out management were super polite and wore kid gloves about the dude nearly killing other people after they’ve been told a half dozen times that they’re nearly killing people.

I agree that yelling shouldn’t be the first thing but there is 100% a point in which case you deserve to be yelled at if you’re ENDANGERING LIVES.

Valuing manners over teaching someone a lesson so someone else doesn’t get killed is never an argument you will successfully make with me. Just a reason for me to not trust you to do what needs to be done if all hell were to go loose.

  • Nah. Hard disagree. If you’re doing something stupid and are told politely several times to stop doing it but then continue doing it? Especially when your actions are wasting thousands of dollars and putting people at risk due to the environment you’re in? You deserve to be yelled at.

If you believe your own personal decision gets to trump the financial and literal health of someone when everyone had to make extreme sacrifices to be able to do this and you just didn’t want to? When it could have resulted in someone’s death? You deserve to be yelled at.

    Politeness has its limit.

Your first link is an opinion of someone else’s post. That post being the vague Minecraft accusation I mentioned prior.

And your second link is the badly made joke he did in 2011 that I mentioned.

Your personal anecdote also doesn’t reflect reality.

As stated, you have no credible link you can share which is why you told me to do it. You are aware that you don’t have anything remotely close to resembling proof of your accusation so you’re being vague and dismissive.

But youre also incapable of admitting fault which is why you’re doubling down on your accusations of him while not providing any evidence for it.

    Go away.

    Look it up

Translation: It’s utter nonsense and I cannot find any reputable source to back up my claims.

Bro, you’re making the accusation here. I’m not going to go around and do your legwork for you. I’m just going to assume what you said is bullshit. ESPECIALLY when co-stars from Game of Thrones have said the dead opposite. Emilia Clarke has come out and said he was a joy to work with. The closest accusation I can think of was some extremely badly judged joke he made in 2011 that he openly apologiezd for.

Also, I heard about the Minecraft thing. It was from a single person who said they saw it happening to someone else. Their accusation was that they’re yelling. I am not going to be jumping on a bandwagon of “Fuck this dude” unless I know the reason as to what was going on. Like two actors got given a ton of shit for yelling at people in the past and I am perfectly fine with those.

Why? Because sometimes yelling at someone isn’t abuse, it’s telling them off for fucking everything up for hundreds of other people. Christian Bale losing his mind at a dude who openly walked through a filming zone when they had very specific timing to do it, were under pressure like a motherfucker, it requires resets and that the filming conditions were dangerous and that dude had been told off before about his actions? I’m fine with that. Tom Cruise yelling at someone for endangering the entire filming crew of a movie during COVID? I’m fine with that. I have no idea if I’m fine with Momoa doing it or not because I don’t have the context and neither do you.

Put up or shut up. I am so tired of this gossipy horseshit of “Oh he’s a terrible person because of <something I’m half remembering from years ago>” and considering all your other comments in here, that’s all your accusations are. Half remembered.

  • I don’t know how you are able to say that with a straight face.

Muppets Movie - Muppet Origin Story

Muppets Caper - Muppets but jewel heist

Muppets Take Manhattan - Muppets run a Musical

    Muppets Christmas Carol - Really?

    Muppets Treasure Island - Really?

    Muppets From Space - REALLY?

The Muppets - The only ‘normal’ movie and it references all the nonsense from the previous ones

Muppets Most Wanted - Criminal muppets

Sir, every single Muppet movie has a freakin’ gimmick.

  • Yes. Because I just woke up in a cave, surrounded by strangers, and was given the opportunity to either walk into the forest on my own to try and find a way back or to go with these people to find out what the hell happened to me.

Its your responsibility as a player to get involved in the story. You designed your character. You decided to have them be argumentative and hostile to the story as a whole. That is on you, not the DM. The DM did the best they could with a player who refused to engage with the story that you all agreed on.

This is some heavy main character syndrome shit…

  • Bro, you let her DM for the first time in your group and then you decided to not engage at all with the storyline. She panicked and wasn’t sure how to bring an argumentative player back into the fold so she prevented you best she did.

I’m kinda with her, man. It’s your responsibility as a player to engage with the story. As a near forever DM, this type of shit from my players is exactly what would get you removed from my table. We’re all here to tell a story together. Part of that is the willingness to tell that story together. It is not the DMs responsibility to play to your characters specific personality to get them involved when the DM is running it for everyone. That is asking way too much from your DM and is, honestly, really self-centered of a way to go about things.

YOU designed your character. It is YOUR responsibility to design them in such a way that they’re interested in the story. NOT the DMs.

  • The context of this meme (which I didn’t fully lay out in the title, so that’s on me) is also setting the monster up ahead of time as having a deadly looking gaze. The meme is reflecting back the immediate assumptions that people will make based off of a description of a monster, much like how your characters should also react in the same situation.

The DM needs to use language to describe a situation and put the same feeling into you that your characters are also experiencing. By referring to a monsters gaze, that could mean a hundred different things. Referring to it within combat is just adding to that anxiety your character is experiencing. Are they just piercing eyes? Or is it something more?

If anything, this is the most accurate way I can think of to get you as a player to feel the same thing that your character also feels.

You say adversarial but it isn’t the DMs job to hold your hand through combat. It is your DMs job to provide a thrilling and engaging experience that pulls you in. Its your job as a player to make the decisions based on the information given you. If everytime that question is ever asked is only for a monster with a gaze attack, then you as a DM are doing a pisspoor job of disguising monster abilities by telegraphing everything they can do ahead of time.
