I run Nextcloud on an old laptop (i5-8500h) and tbh I find it super fast and responsive. I’ve barely done any tinkering or customization
I never found one I liked as much tbh
Any chance you could explain the basics of how the Hetzner thing would work? I’m noob
Not exactly self-hosted but, I like UpNote a lot.
It’s reasonably simple but, powerful enough for me, and it’s fast & intuitive
Ngl a lot of that went over my head but, I’ll look into it, thank you
I’d rather just have HEIC natively supported if possible
That picture is on Android but it doesn’t load correctly on any device
My Samsung uses it for lower-storage size images lol
Ngl FB Messenger is way better than Snapchat.
I don’t like Meta but at least the app feels like it isn’t making its users even more ADHD by the minute
Snapchat is a line I drew. It’s probably my single least favourite messaging option
Why this many people use Snapchat is incomprehensible
There are so many good messenger apps and all of them, Snapchat’s giant userbase remains
Fair enough I suppose, just expect backlash here when you’re advocating for Meta arguably shitty things
Why are you on c/Privacy when you don’t seem to care about data tracking and forced targeted ads?
People who want to use FB every day (that doesn’t include me) shouldn’t have to choose between targeted ads, and excessively high pricing.
They could have continued non-targeted ads or made the pricing reasonable
Lemmy & Voyager’s dev, and Mozilla,
That pricing is clearly insane and unreasonably high
I’ve been doing this and like it but, it’s been crashing a lot in the background and draining battery
I suspect they would if it was regulated they had to (and the fines they’d get if they don’t were sufficiently large). And the experience of simply not seeing ads could be worth a few bucks anyway
But yes, I don’t particularly trust Meta, nor value their services enough to pay $
Only big difference I noticed is it allowed me to log in on 2 phones simultaneously
