I mean, you are not wrong, but this is research on the neuronal pathways underlying this behaviour, not research comparing the daily life of fruit flies and men.

You may not be aware but fruitflies are used for many developmental and neuronal research topics since their signalling pathways are pretty similar to the ones found in humans. They are also the origin of some of the quirkiest gene names researchers made up, like the hedgehog gene.

If it were the absolute end goal for a PhD to continue on in academia this would be worrying.

However because of how academia works with its very very limited number of open professor positions and terrible working conditions until you land tenure, it hasn’t been a prime choice for students for a while now.

Why I am commenting, I only realised now that the name is not a weird writing of the Russian word for comrade , which when spoken sounds very similar to your progamms name, but is a German sentence saying “I was there”. Mind blown. Sorry for the off-topic rambling.

I mean, likely OP does not want to do that and I hate to sound like a damn boomer, but sometimes the offline solutions are the best. I admit I got a recipe book too and still transfer recipes in handwriting to it.

I only really need it at home and its easy to put in front of me when cooking.

Eh, I mean if I had studied there I’d 100% try and benefit from this but rankings all have issues.
