Apple: “You’ve just gotta brick their phone if they use 3rd party parts!”
Samsung: “Brick it, you say?”

Haha like the kids cops send into shops to buy beer.
There are some things I don’t really understand after reading this article:
Why exactly does Samsung want the customer data? Are they wanting to ban their Samsung account or something?
How exactly does Samsung police this? Surely the repair shop could just… not tattle?
What the hell does the repair shop tell the customer when they return their phone in literal fucking pieces?
I’m almost jealous. Real Valve low-point with them tying it into their marketplace crap also. We didn’t need another ‘CS:GO Lotto’ fiasco.
Reminds me of the Artifect reveal.
There are still platform exclusive podcasts, like on Spotify, but they don’t seem too prevalent. Podcasters seem to make most of their dough either through advertising sections, or having supporter exclusive feeds.
I wonder if podcast piracy is a thing.
I use Linux, Windows, MacOS; I’m everywhere. I’ve had Aegis as a backup of my tokens in case bullshit like this happened, but it’s still an amazingly stupid idea.
…But I use it daily? I guess I’ll just have to keep a legacy version installed but that’s just ridiculous.
Edit: The Mac version is fine? The hell they smokin’ there?
If you use Porkbun, there’s a project that I’ve personally forked and adjusted a bit for dynamic DNS updates: https://github.com/Dasnap/Porkbun-Dynamic-DNS
The original project was archived so I added a bit to avoid pointless IP updates and then stole a Docker image build from another project and combined it in.
Loving that you straight up block Halo servers.
I personally prefer Homepage over Heimdall and made the switch a few months back.
From what I remember that quote was taken out of context.
I personally love containers (probably because I use them for work) but I can understand someone not wanting another layer of abstraction if they’ve worked bare-metal for a long time.
It’s only once you install something like this that you realize just how many torrents are porno.
I’ve always been curious about ‘Anal Police Stories 2’ but I’ve never found the time.
The company said that it will still have opt-out controls in “select countries” without specifying which ones.
“Plane crash is not the fault of pilot as he jumped out the plane during nosedive.”
They hear the basic description and call it internet communism.
The bloat is starting to annoy me. Who asked for stories? How do I get rid of the annoying prompt at the top of the app?
Its basic-ness was one of the original reasons I liked it.
They add loads of bullshit but they still won’t add the option to disable read-receipts.
I’ve said for a while that platforms that allow you to easily move make me more comfortable using them, and ironically, more likely to stay around.
