I think this is this insufferable clickbaiting bullshitter that goes on endless rants without actually saying anything. Pretty sure I’ve seen another of her videos posted somewhere on Lemmy a while ago that was of equal quality.
Are they…?
All the hassle I had to go through to tweak, fix and constantly maintain Windows was one of the major reasons why I ultimately switched to Linux on my desktop. At some point it all just becomes way too much of a hassle, much more than the tinkering I might have to do on Linux every now and then.
People constantly shit on Linux for not being as user friendly, but are completely blind to all the garbage they have to do to keep their Windows system running.
Of course they fucking are. A data hoarding feature like that would be exactly what Google would want as well.
Crucial MX 500 & Samsung 870 Evo are reliable / good & “cheap” SATA SSDs. For NVMe there’s the WD Blue SN570 and the Kioxia Exceria G2 but keep in mind that they tend to have smaller storage sizes too and depending on your use case you might not really notice a performance difference between SATA and NVMe anyway. Personally, I stay away from all native Chinese products. They tend to have terrible quality and fall apart quickly. I’m sure there’s exceptions here and there but wading through all the garbage and having to buy twice does not seem worth it and I rather support that country as little as possible anyway.
It is probably dead but Easy Diffusion is imo the easiest for image generation.
KoboldCPP can be a bit weird here and there but was the first thing that worked for me for local text gen + gpu support.
