2e ended up a lot more aproachable, you can no longer accidentally create a completely useless character.

I am precisely in the middle of this chart.
Aren’t like half of those bullet points positives? Also in addition to what you said once you got a tree you got a tree, those tanks need constant maintenence and cycling which I doubt anyone is going to bother with for more than a year after installing them.
Virgin Silverhand: Sets off a nuke and barely anyone even remembers him or his band, gets soul killed.
Chad random rockerboy: Restarts his own brain with pure willpower and immediately talks a decades long Arasaka supersoldier into helping him.
I always liked the messed up backstories, all you gotta do is make an edgey one but remove the part where you get some great destiny or power. My god gave me this task, I have no idea why and it sucks, I miss my family.
The worst being that one incident where they left an entire universe in a state where every single particle is governed by the uncertainty principle but only when no one is looking.
Tor was always comrpomised, the point has never been to be uncrackable, the point is that tracking down an induvidual user is enough effort that it can’t just be done on mass like with normal internet traffic. If you draw direct attention to yourself then it isn’t going to save you.
Nah this is hands drawn correctly but not well, AI draws hands well but incorrectly.
(relatively speaking, its still hands drawn better than I can)
Edit: Then again the ears are odd and the black thing vanishing under the clothes is confusing. Normally AI can’t understand that objects going behind another object have to come out the other side and this passes that test but it also just looks weird in a way a human wouldn’t do.
Not to mention googles push for an identification standard that would effectively ban any non chromium browser from all major websites.
Rock and stone Forever!
Reminds me of the ROM regions and the endless suffering that is being in the PAL region.
We’re a little worried about what happens when the astral calender hits the new millenium but no ones figured out how to insert another date rune without causing the whole magic circle to start smoking alarmingly.
Shadowruns actual rules aren’t so bad, character creation is crunchy but you could fit all the non matrix/spirits combat stuff onto maybe 2 sides of a single A4 sheet. The real problem is the editing, that information is spread across the entire rulebook so badly that sometimes it even feels like the information was cut off mid paragraph.
I see it as trying to combat the dystopia where not only is our data scraped but now every single thing we write, draw or film is fed into an AI that will ultimately be used to create huge amounts of wealth for very few, essentially monetizing our very existence online in a way thats entierly unavoidable and without consent.
In addition its entierly one way, google and others can grab as much of our data as they want while most of us would have an extremely hard time even getting granted a freedom of information request about ourselves, let alone grabbing a similar amount of data about those same corporations.
Especially given humans have real standout traits like being endurance hunters, somewhat rapid scarring and a high resistance to shock (advantage on constitution checks?)
There’s some stuff about devils and how souls are recruited for the whole endless demon war thing that implies that everyone gets re-incarnated but its usually random, while elves and devils are always re-incarnated as the same race except in special circumstances.
But reincarnation is canon in D&D so that would require hunting down that soul and repeatedly executing them for all eternity.
This is what I meant, if everyone is running googles web integrity API it also effectively allows google to ban other browsers from even existing by denying them access to all major sites.
Lets call it what it is, googles attempt to create a situation in which they can ban all competition and establish a global monopoly.
Reminds me of a half-orc I once played called Sword. Sword wielded a big sword; Swords only word was sword; Swords solution to all problems in some way involved Swords or sword.
Got a surprising amount of mileage out of using the word sword combined with different tones and gestures, as well as some fun non-violent but still sword based solutions.
