I haven’t heard about it before today but I tried asking it what separates it from other LLMs and apparently the answer is just that it does a google search and shows you the source its summarizing, which if true is not very compelling, and if a hallucination or missing details then its at least not very compelling as a search replacement

I want my characters to die. I didn’t realize until recently how alone I am in this, but the idea of playing a campaign almost more like a roguelite (or maybe a Pokémon nuzlock?) is so appealing to me. I want the consequences to be so real that a decent player might need 2 or 3 backup characters, where a happy ending isn’t garunteed in the slightest and the DM is fine to end the campaign in total tragedy. then the victories and successes would feel so much more earned, and campaigns would feel much less like on-rails experiences. plus failures can encourage creativity. a story where everyone just wins each task after the other is boring

proton’s honestly a great deal if you’re gonna use the VPN and Password managers. nice easy drop-in replacement for Gmail imo, not much point putting a ton of effort into it since email is inherently insecure
maybe I’m a little behind the times when it comes to cars, but shouldn’t it be relatively trivial on the community scale to create foss head unit OS’s? are there other components that phone home besides the head unit? most cars have replaceable head units anyway, right? I feel like I must be missing something here
what email client do you use? I bought a domain with the exact same goal in mind, but I’m kinda new to self hosting / homelabs stuff and everywhere I look makes self hosting email seem extremely complicated
is mailcow the kind of thing where you can host your email server yourself without paying any reoccurring fees beyond your domain name? Im new to homelabs too and I’ve been wondering how to get started with that for a while. proton would be great for me if it was free but I’m really against reoccurring payments, I don’t even have Netflix lol
