Exposing any of the Arr stack to the internet is just bad practice in general IMO but bad actors will always be out there so it’s even more of a reason to practice good security.

I used huntarr for a minute and found it utterly useless. Didn’t trigger searches like it said it was doing. Uninstalled it after about 5 minutes.

It’s a lot easier to do when people consolidate resources (cloudflare, aws, CDNs in general). I understand the need but now they have too much power to interfere in service.

My biggest gripe with them is consistency. They release products without all the features they promise. They have been known to just abandon entire lines (I’m still salty about their mFi gear).

Fyi my TVs all have 100mbit ports and I stream 4k content all the time. Larger files (LOTR 50gbish) can take a while to pre load when direct streaming but once they start it’s smooth and i can seek instantly.

I think my issue was that the shelves are just number based so remaking a shelf isn’t the same as the original. Def operator error. Sync still worked fine it just removed books from the shelf but stayed on the device.

Before you get too far into it, check out booklore and calibre-web-automated. Just to see if ya wanna go a different way. I plan on probably switching the next time we upgrade e-reader or i have to factory wipe them. Redoing on the calibre side and just resyncing got messy fast and wife approval went way way down.

I use calibre to organize then i dump them into calibre-web. From there we make shelves (my wife and I) and sync with our Kobos.

Does Tautulli work with jellyfin?

I love my micros.

I have a docker VM with a gpu passed through/external access (if this called production?) and another docker VM on another machine with no passthrough/external access. So both VMs are running multiple stacks/services and i just assign based on use case. Storage and memory are cheap imo and it’s the most secure way to do it with the skill level i have so it’s how i run it. I’m sure there’s better ways but 🤷‍♂️
