And what’s the cost on those compared to a Pi?

Yes, the browser that mined crypto without consent

A brief explanation as to what this is would be helpful; I went to your site and the description there was helpful.
Otherwise, reading this Lemmy post, I have no idea what this does.
Seems great though and thanks for sharing. :-)

My concern is that the WireGuard portion of the router fails for some reason but still routes.
It also allows me to choose another port

One instance runs on the router (Unifi USG) and the other on a Pi3 (as a backup) using PiVPN.
Usually, if I need to set it up, I’ll use PiVPN and either a Pi or Debian/Ubuntu host.

Pitch deck does not mean it’s in active use. Just like filing a patent doesn’t mean the company is going to implement the patented idea.

Your mom had Googled it. You got the ads because you were on her network.

Was just going to post this as well.

This sounds just like when my family member tell me that their phones are “listening to what they say” because they talk about something and then see an advertisement for it.
No, you’re seeing the ad because you googled it and forgot that you did. Or someone else on the house did.
Edit: Morons. If your phone listened to you for ads the battery would be dead in hours. More so than they do now.
If it’s a multifunction, printing the time/date on the fax.

Unbound running locally

No, but it’s still based on Chromium which killed off effective ad blocking.
Now have a pfSense box…
Too bad you didn’t go with OPNSense; pfSense is a shit company.

Only get the Pi if you need a specific HAT or GPIO. And even then get a zero.
Or if you want to run the machine via PoE.

Seconded. My option is that if it’s vital to my infrastructure or my family I don’t self host it. Let someone else deal with patching/maintenance/uptime.

Check out ONLYOFFICE for what a UI should look like.
Worth every penny to not have to jump through Jellyfin hoops to share externally.
