Seems like every winter thing is made of some synthetic fiber that acts like wearing a plastic bag when you sweat. Wool is the way.

Cotton is the worst, it sticks to your skin when wet. If you are caught outside, stranded, they say to make sure to take layers off, because if you sweat, you die.
