or you can allow public authenticated access to dns over https… (just don’t expose the raw udp dns server, it’s a really bad idea)
(not sure if DoT can also support auth, but if it does that’s great because android supports dot natively)
copyright will eventually expire after your death
and cc nc does not prevent derivatives, just profiting off of them without explicit permission, which is not that big of a deal
the author can still sell the work, the NC prevents other people from profiting off of it without explicit permission (this does not prevent exemptions, work can still be sold under cc-by-sa as an exemption)
or CC BY-NC-SA (the non-commercial-use-only one)
i mean you can just buy a Dell laptop with a copy of Ubuntu preloaded instead, they sell those as an option with most models
i mean it’s annoying but how is it disgusting?
it just shows recently opened files/software mixed in with stuff you open frequently, it’s not an ad section or anything.
but yeah i have disabled it on all my machines, because I’m not using it + disabling it adds two extra rows of pinned apps…
they don’t offer reasonable free tiers (I don’t have a reliable source of income and i just need it for hobby stuff) and I’m unable to sign up with either of those with my ukrainian credit card anyway (they all reject both my credit and debit cards)
well i haven’t tried signing up for azure yet but I don’t have much hope
also I don’t care about it’s cdn features, i need a dns server and a way to proxy ipv4 traffic over ipv6 (and cloudflare tunnels for ssh)
there’s no alternative tho, and by definition alternatives will have the same level of access…
that’s just dns tho
but yeah, obviously your dns provider can see the dns requests (aka domain names) you’re making, that’s the whole point of dns server
yep but without that hardware good luck
lol hdcp will absolutely fuck you over with this one.
yeah there are even still some remaining windows 3.0 dialogues used in the latest win11
wasn’t it leaked already
IANAL, but iirc if you’re in the eu, legitimate interest is not legal basis for data processing but they may still store it for later use if you ever agree to one of these
remember owning a prestigio one and it was great, could just copy books onto an sd card and start reading them, the design was super sleek and stylish and it lasted like a whole week.
even had some extra features like viewing photos (if you wanted to do that on a b/w screen for some reason) and playing music while reading over 3.5mm jack on the top
broke the display pretty quickly tho, it’s very repairable (even 12 year old me could’ve fixed it) but I decided not to buy a replacement eink because well i was 12 years old at the time and didn’t have any source of income…
it was one of these bad boys:
I don’t really like mint’s desktop environment
actually url/uri spec is surprisingly complex, I’m not even sure it’s possible to fully/correctly match it with regex without false positives or negatives, especially in twitters case where even things like “google.com” are accepted as valid urls (without the protocol part, which is otherwise mandatory)
well i actually think it’s quite a reasonable measure.
other websites would’ve locked you out completely if your ip is suspected of being used in a ddos attack, while reddit does provide an option to continue using the website for registered users
i mean unless your phone is locked to a carrier (which is pretty rare???) there’s nothing stopping you?
