Don’t be paranoid. They scans our chats against problematic keywords to find out bad guys, and metadata helps law enforcement in catching these bad guys. /s

How is that supposed to work? Firefox’s own products in itself are not that reassuring for user privacy. It was better when Moxie collaborated with them to improve whatsapp code. At least that guy’s products were respected for privacy at that time.
Signal’s use case is “authentic communication”. like when a govt person interacts with other govt person and doesn’t want a second govt to snoop on the actual contents on the communication, but accepts that metadata is public.
It is whatsapp for such people, without being whatsapp.
