If you pirate stuff they can sue you to the ground but if a fine is not related to total income or wealth it’s just something to be ignored.
Can’t understand why not more people lobby for fines to be proportional in general…

I mean I still have my Gmail account in my mail clients - just every time I get an email on it that’s not spam I go to the account settings and change the mail account there
I haven’t gotten a mail on it in almost a year so I think I’ll unplug it and only login if needed
only works with very simple scripts though - I’d assume that checking for a ‘+’ in front of the ‘@’ and removing everything inbetween is very simple if your goal is to spam everyone from a data-leak
Also every bit of atomic energy we use now humans have to pay for for centuries to keep the waste safe
Normally these guys are all about passive income and buying over subscriptions and things like this but if your actions lead to generations having to pay for it suddenly it’s not as bad…

Even though I’m probably not reading it enough to be worth it I pay a yearly online-subscription to one of the newspapers that gained my trust with good investigative pieces in the past.
If everyone was just consuming for free then a newspaper needs to either be heavily funded by a really wealthy person that pays them (and in turn makes it less likely that said newspaper will report against people like that) or the newspaper needs to sell ad-space. So if you are consuming for free AND blocking ads on a website then you are only costing that website money - and in case of newspapers that’s not a good thing since it ensures that only those that are publicly funded or funded by billionaires will survive “almost unchanged” while the rest will try to get as populist as possible to the the most amount of clicks to increase their ad-revenue
I said it’s ads or selling data - it can be any combination of those 3 factors
It’s either this or ads or selling your data
For the 2nd point:
Mixing it doesn’t reduce it to 1fa - it still makes your accounts immune to Passwort leaks and common attacks
You are only at a 1FA level if someone hacked your PW-Manager but in that instance you’re most likely fucked anyway
Sure for the most important accounts having 2FA in another app is good so you can at least secure those if the PW-Safe leaked but I have 2FA on every single website I use(d) that offers it - even if I’m only on there once a year so using a special app is less important than just having the additional security in the first place
In that case they deleted a link to illegal content in their jurisdiction - so should be fine - shouldn’t it?
So if you have a collection with political targets and the folder is just google maps links to their houses with their names as the bookmark name google shouldn’t be allowed to stop you from spreading this?
Sure google is shitty but this feature is designed to share links with other people and sometimes those links can be dangerous so imho it’s absolutely necessary to moderate them at some level.
If the fine is not a fixed amount but actually gets more expensive the more money you have it actually is quite nice though
