I was being specific to this claim of pseudoscience; which seems to be based on the fact that we don’t have any other verifiable facts and instead it attacks the theory as pseudoscience despite there being no other prevailing proof of harms like biases, claims and lacking refutation.
Anything like this that is labeled “Pseudoscience” is simply a thing that is simply misunderstood or not understood at all.
I actually disagree with this cooking MYTH.
But; it depends on the TYPE of plastic. Don’t trust takeaway containers or soft and flexible plastics.
Hard and rigid plastics are in fact SAFE if marked as “Microwave-Safe”; they HAVE TO BE SAFE to have that marking.
DO:
Junk science article.
All discoveries use some element(s) of the scientific method.
The entire method in and of itself isn’t required to be 100% rigorously applied 100% of the time. However, the method is a starting point and does lead to discovery over time.
While it helps to apply the method to ensure clean and proper discoveries which can, hopefully, be reproduced and investigated, the fact that not all sciences or discoveries apply it rigorously is largely insignificant.
