Ugh, now I feel gross. Time to find a new YouTube app.
I dunno dude, I disagree with you and seemingly a great deal of other people do too, but you are absolutely entitled to your opinion. No need to insult me to make your point.
They drew a red cross on something?
Why is proton VPN excluded from the winners for open source, license, and based on, despite having the exact same values populated as the other 4 winners?
The “mother finds this orgasmic” part doesn’t add to how disturbing the concept is though it just makes me feel weird about the writer

People getting mad at massive attack are missing the point completely

I know this is glib, but I’m finally playing almost as much TTRPG as I’d like. We’re getting close.

In terms of either of these projects impacting the other, the primary and I think sole way that the excitement and enthusiasm around Campaign 4 of Critical Role is impacting all the amazing things cooking up at “Dimension 20” is that I’m maybe too lucky for a person that I get to have all this fun. That’s the number one, and sole impact is I’m having a fucking ball. It’s very exciting.
We’re also wrapping up Book One of “The Wizard, the Witch and the Wild One” for “Worlds Beyond Number,” which I’m so enormously proud of. I’ll also get to be a player at the table of the one, the only, the inimitable of Aabria Iyengar, who I’m so excited to be a PC for in the next big, main campaign of “Worlds Beyond Number.” So that’s very exciting.

You mean like a full campaign instead of the smaller bits he dmed for them? That’d be awesome, I feel like he gets on with them well

Where’s the acespec slut
Or are they just one of the idiots
I guess I’m just one of the idiots ._.

Don’t have to go particularly deep if you search “furry porn”, life hack

Don’t worry the gooners know all about that
New subclass

It really is hard to rewire when you’ve been brought up in a world that didn’t care - and like, honestly good on you for even reflecting in this way. Thanks for learning things and having empathy and compassion ;P

So like, its not necessarily about offense. Some folks who have suffered abuse and aggression because of their minority status have visceral, trauma responses to certain things. When I hear the t-slur used, for example, it invokes a deep anxiety and panic. That doesn’t mean that I think that anyone who says it is a transphobe (like the car guy in your example might be talking about his transmission or some silly thing like that) and I’m not going to rage and scream at him. But I’m not weird or wrong for asking him not to say it because it triggers me. This isn’t a discussion about how we should cancel people for using words, its a discussion about how we can accommodate our fellow people.
The OP shows some folks making a change that is so minor we shouldn’t even be talking about it, so that they can be just a touch more likely not to affect someone negatively. Even if its performative, who cares, they did it and it affects nobody negatively.
More concerning, I think, is the people jumping in this thread acting like this is woke cancel culture gone wild and we can’t use normal words anymore.

I have realised, upon reflection, what I take issue with with your argument.
It places the onus on the intention, as opposed to the result.
If the result of me doing something particularly mundane, that I could do another way with zero extra effort, is that some people are offended or othered or hurt, then it seems blatantly obvious to me that the action to take is to change what I’m doing. Theres nuance in the wider discussion but you can’t judge intentions, since nobody can know what someone else’s intentions are. You can judge actions and outcomes.
The action in this case is mundane, and I don’t place any blame or hate toward the people who took the action (made the Tycoon joke). The outcome is potentially negative, and I would argue demonstrably negative since people felt compelled to comment about it. It still doesn’t mean that the folks who wrote the joke are massive racists or fascists or whatever, but the outcome related to their action is negative. Hence they chose to change the action to change the outcome.
Seems pretty cut and dry that this was a wholly positive thing, no?

Doesn’t seem like anyone was calling them out in that. They’re pointing out that it might be a good idea to change it, but I digress, I’ll stand corrected here.
It is going to come across as a strange suggestion, but Thirsty Sword Lesbians
Nothing about the ruleset predisposes itself to anything sexual in nature, and as noted in the sourcebook you can play non lesbians, non sexual, non romantic, non sword wielding characters.
The system is geared specifically toward exploring the difficulties and excitement and beauty of connections and interactions of people. You can run it in low fantasy, high fantasy, sci fi, reality, whatever you like. The rules serve to guide player interaction and foster interpersonal situations that are compelling and interesting (and, challenging, which is a great thing for developing kids minds). It does so with a rules-light, theater of the mind gameplay, which will give your kids plenty of room to flex their creative muscles and drive the story in big ways if they want to.
The caveat is that the official art is perhaps sometimes not strictly safe for kids and the flavour of some of the examples is obviously through the lens of romance/sexuality. With some mild sanitizing from your end you could have suitable character sheets and such for all ages and you can run with it from there.
Let your kids get tangled with some baddies who aren’t inherently evil, and some who are, some friends and companions along the way, all of whom have problems and worries and goals and are flawed and wonderful and human (or not).
TSL is all about larger than life, dashing heroes battling against insurmountable odds and winning, while hopefully finding family and introspection and resolution of their own internal conflicts along the way. I can’t think of a better environment to let your kids imaginations run loose.
