I haven’t actually set up a family account yet, so can’t answer on that, sorry!

So yes, you have to use a different MX record, but you can share a domain name with your family. I switched to them this week, but haven’t managed to decide on a family domain name, as we all have different last names 🙃. Will probably use multiple domains.

I once used a glue stick instead of chapstick. They were both on my desk.

I don’t do any of those things, because my devices block them before they ever reach me.
