I tried LogSeq but found it clumsy to navigate. I am going to take a look at TriliumNext. Right now am using QOwnNotes which is simpler but I’m all for that. The issue to me is, it isn’t wysiwyg. There’s an editor panel AND a vizualisation panel, and that seems a bit redundant to me. Otherwise it’s fantastic

I think it’s a way to justify the update. It’s probably really about telemetry and hardware control, but normies see the centered taskbar and subconciously go “this must be new technology”
Yea I installed it for my wife and she never has to second guess anything, she knows where to find what she’s looking for and whatever it is, it just works. It’s weird that this feels almost off, right ? stuff “just working”

This has always bothered me, I suspect it’s the same underlying reason most video players can’t do reverse frame-by-frame. But Quicktime allowed it twenty years ago, so it’s possible. I suppose you’d have to actually decode the entire keyframe interval and use the resulting frames as new “baked-in” keyframes so to say. I suppose that’s more or less what djv and other frame checkers do under the hood. But I don’t know what I’m talking about so…

There’s Trilium-Next too, I’ve been trying it for a day or so and it floats my boat better than logseq so far. My notebook is on QOwnNotes right now, it’s fantastic but on the simpler side
