Oh well that’s nice
Oh well that’s nice
Oh yeah I’m sure BG is nothing like that DM lol
My first and only dm was a huge dick
The start of the campaign village is being attacked, I picked a swordsman cus swing sword is easy probably good for a beginner
Anyways I roll a 20, DM hypes it up saying I have impeccable footwork, draw the blade from its sheath perfect, doing this epic buildup for about a minute or 2. Then he flatly says I miss my perfect swing because every enemy was 200 feet away
That was in middle school and now my GF is trying so hard to get me into Baldurs Gate and now it’s just a matter of me doing some DnD homework about classes and other stuff so I’m not going in 100% blind
Some people keep journal servers where it’s just them in a server alone, could be that
Oh he was socially aware he was just not nice to say the least
I’ve been meaning to play dnd cus chaos funny moments but I just haven’t
My gf is trying to get me to play Baldurs Gate and is making a Vampire Masquerade campaign but idk when that’s happening so maybe that’ll be gateway lol
“Ok you did an excellent and flawless swing
Unfortunately the enemy is 100 feet away so you missed”
“Oh”
“Also they attack aaaand…. You’re dead”
“Oh”
Because i am incapable of giving no context
It was my first time playing DnD and the DM wasn’t the nicest person so I didn’t get a good first impression of the game but I should really get into it at some point
damage the kidneys
Ah thank you for resurfacing that fact I forgot. But I think you are right about the causation
Another fun fact is it also causes foot problems including ingrown toe nails
As a type 1 diabetic with a type 2 family member I want to be excited but I cannot for the life of me be suspicious, what are the talking about with the kidney. I mean maybe I’m missing something I only have diabetes idk everything about it
+1 for proton drive
I have the premium plan for and vpn and password manager benifits and use it for college work, game back ups, and saving and sharing unhinged video game clips with friends
I use libre office myself as well with proton drive so I can pull up all my .doc and .docx files on my iPhone (ik very privacy focused /s)
Also the other user mentioned obsidian I like it too. I use more like OneNote kind of notes for my college classes be it typed or hand written (with the Excalidraw plugin)
I set my obsidian save location to proton drive so I can hand write my notes in class then pull them up on my big monitor on my home computer
Sometimes obsidian will cause proton drive to freakout due to obsidians auto save feature (nothing bad it’ll just stop syncing) so I just pause proton, do my thing in obsidian with it saving but not syncing, then just resume the sync
Sometimes they’ll play nice together but other times not so idk¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Edit: formatting
To prove your point I am person #2, I know things liked invidious and piped exist but I just idk haven’t gotten around to it
Hm I rarely hit open with so maybe that’s something I missed that’s been right there but otherwise I’m sure there’s some way that the internet gods know of
Yeah that’s my bad I just couldn’t think of an example where there was formatting in the document
Yeah I’m definitely going to try libreoffice
I was planning on using MS Office originally when writing the posts but 1) I didn’t know if it was going to work after my subscription expired, and 2) I wanted to see what else is out there
Oh yep they did I just have been writing the wrong thing in all these comments WHOOPS
Thanks for the suggestions. I was going to use libreoffice as the main editor but then use open office if my document had images or anything that doesn’t play nice with libreoffice but the pdf suggestion sounds better
Also didn’t see your bottom question at first but I’m on windows and edit documents both on my home laptop and one I bring to my classes which is why being able to play nice with proton drive is a must for me.
Ah I see good to know. For me formatting issues aren’t a super big deal and sounds like it’s outweighed with its reputation here. I guess if it does become an issue I can simply hop over to open office but I’ll cross that bridge when I get there
I wouldn’t know lol but I’m assuming it does since someone else recommended it
As for now tho I’m gonna check out libreoffice and then have open office as a back up now that more than 1 person is recommending it
Yeah I think I’m going to go with libreoffice as it seems like a popular choice here and fits my use case
Stupid question though
As for opening the files do I have to open libreoffice then open the file within it or is there a way to set libreoffice as a default in windows and open from file explorer
This really isn’t a make or break question I’mhust curious
Oh that’s nice
