1·4 months agoIs there somewhere I can follow to see this if you end up open sourcing it? Sounds pretty interesting (personally I’m looking into a k3s-based setup but it’s always interesting to see how others do things)
Deepseek is my go-to. Sure it’s Chinese but I don’t see how that affects me (LLMs should not be used to research historical/political issues anyways, or really any research).

2·5 months agoI remember that – the guy provided no real evidence. I wouldn’t trust it that easily given the number of groups who hate that things like Graphene exist.

DeGoogle Yourself@lemmy.ml•How Google Tracks and Scans Everything on Your Android DeviceEnglish
0·6 months agoI’ve been using it since the Pixel 3 days. Tap to pay doesn’t work, and some people have reported banking apps not working, although my banking apps do work. Also, certain pixel-exclusive features like now playing don’t work. And you are going to need to install play services or other Google components if you want stuff like notifications in various apps or text-to-speech and speech-to-text in the browser, etc. Aside from that, it’s incredible. Works perfectly.
The vast majority of Israelis are pro-genocide and there are stats to back this up. Also, the genocide in Palestine is currently ongoing and not hundreds of years old. That’s the difference.

105·7 months agoMost modern cars are SIM-enabled and are constantly sending data back to the mothership. But even those that aren’t will still collect data locally and that data will be collected when you send the car to an “official/licenced/authorized” repair shop.
Yep, Albania works (3 other random countries I tried didn’t). I guess this is a block on the RT side, not Mullvad. Thanks.

11·7 months agoMade an Android app mainly for myself, fairly niche use case. A few years later it somehow has 10k+ users (a rough estimate since there’s no telemetry).

8·8 months agoKvaesitso launcher on my phone works fine with internet access cut off (which is a thing you can do on GrapheneOS). Weather, calendar, etc. still work because it integrates with external apps for all that. It’s also FOSS.
Yep, smspool. For VoIP it’s JMP.Chat locally, and. silent.link when I travel (data only).
I get the AI hate when it comes to a lot of things, but it is genuinely a useful tool for software development.
