I agree with everything you say here, but I thought the setup-payoff joke structure and the fact I intentionally swapped testing and production for comedic effect made it obvious enough. I guess Poe’s law strikes again.

Every software project, without exception, has a testing environment.
Some even have a separate production environment too.

The best use case for purchasing FOSS software is contractor work, specific modules for existing platforms and/or FOSS projects. I’ve done that myself in the past. The client pays for the custom software, it’s written, and then they gets to do absolutely whatever they want with it. If the client wants to publish it, they’re well within their rights. Most of the time it’s too entangled with their internal company workflow to be useful to anyone else though.
Reminds me of this card from the Arkham Horror LCG. Use intellect to attack, but every player I’ve ever seen use this always refers to it as smacking a monster with a thick tome.
Thanks for the correction
The context is that the guy running fast (Captain America) is running so fast he’s overtaken the other guy (War Machine Falcon, eventually) like 4 times. He’s getting more and more frustrated with being outdone in raw athleticism.
Yeah, I’m fine with it. If this community had way more posts and users, I might consider restricting the more off-topic stuff a bit more. Until/unless that happens, have at it!
This is specifically a UK problem. The Tories have been trying to do absolutely retarded things with banning encryption for a long time now.
That’s also a core rulebook perk for Vampires: the Masquerade
How have I not heard of this?!? As an avid boardgame enthusiast and a person who is so deep into Shadowrun that I had to make this community when I saw there wasn’t one, this is pretty much an insta-buy as long as it’s relatively decent
DAS CYBERPUNK ROLLENSPIEL sounds pretty badass.
Assuming they kept the traditional style of the real-world Shogunate, then there would be a ritual in front of spectators. This is also a more realistic way for MCT to do it as even if they’re not particularly suspicious, they’d still have mechanisms in place to make sure the executive actually follows through and doesn’t chicken out.
Some additional points to consider:
How does MCT handle corpse processing and the funeral? Possibly this wiki page might be a good place to look. The fake is gonna have to pass at each step.
If your average wage slave dies, then either the kids go to corporate school for mandatory brainwashing and training, or the whole family goes straight to the streets. Executive level is different. Family is expected to be cared for. Life insurance payouts to a suddenly vanished family is a loose end that needs to be accounted for.
Playing smart or charismatic orcs is totally fine in Shadowrun, it’s not that suboptimal. You have to spend a bit more karma at the start to overcome the lower starting charisma, but it’s not bad at all.
